Nnamdi Kanu reveals real reason for agitating for Biafra

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra
(IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu has revealed the real reason
why he is agitating for Biafrab
- Nnamdi Kanu said he is agitating for Biafra
because that is what heaven wants him to do
- He also said what he wanted is self-determination
not secession because it is when you forcefully
remove yourself from a political arrangement
The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)
Nnamdi Kanu has debunked insinuation that his
motives is to become Biafra's head of state.
Nnamdi Kanu said he would never become Biafra’s
head of state but will continue the struggle for its
independence because heaven sent to do so, Daily Post
reports.
NAIJ.com gathered that he made this known while
addressing IPOB members who paid him a visit at his
Umuahia residence, Abia state on Thursday, August 2.
Kanu said: ''I am not doing Biafra because I want to be
the head of state of Biafra, because I will not be. This is
for your information. I am doing Biafra because that is
what heaven wants me to do. If you did not fight for
Biafra to be restored, you will all be destroyed.
“Because of the Biafra agitation, Nigeria has changed.
No matter what happens, the status quo can never
remain the same. One way or the other things have
changed?
“Now, why is the nation talking about restructuring?
“The Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s statement on a
revisit of the Bill on restructuring Nigeria that was
thrown out last week was not to please Ohanaeze
Ndigbo but to ensure that the federal government still
holds onto the Middle Belt
“The Middle belt had told them that if you decide to go
to war against Biafra, we will not support you again.
The foot soldiers of the Nigerian Army are from the
Middle Belt not from the core North.
“We talk about self-determination, they say it is war;
we talk about referendum, they say it is hate speech; we
talk about a society of free men and women, they say it
is secession. But secession is when you forcefully
remove yourself from a political arrangement''.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that a southeast
group known as Igbo Renaissance Agenda (IRA), on
Monday, July 31, warned that if anything happens to
Nnamdi Kanu, Nigeria “would not survive it, even a
minute longer’’.
The group issued the warning while reacting to a
recent call by Arewa youths asking the Acting
President, Yemi Osinbajo to arrest the IPOB leader for
what it termed ‘’threat to national security”.
