Breaking: Oseloka Obaze wins Anambra PDP guber ticket ON August 28, 2017 7:09 PM / I

Mr. Oseloka Obaze has emerged the flag-bearer for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, after winning the primary election held in Anambra and announced today.

Out of a total of 958 party delegates who participated in the election, Obaze, a former Secretary to the Anambra State Government, polled a total of 672 votes to defeat Capital Oil boss, Ifeanyi Uba and other contenders in the primaries.
Mr. Alex Obi-Ogbolu scored 190 votes to come second while Ifeanyi Ubah, polled 94 votes.

Six aspirants had indicated interest in the governorship ticket but three others – Stella Oduah, John Emeka and Linda Ikpeazu – withdrew from the race after citing irregularities.
Recall that shortly before the announcing of of Obaze’s victory, Ifeanyi Uba, Senator Stella Oduah and others had led a protest over an alleged irregularities in the election.
